Trainee Inspection Engineer

Job description

As an Inspection Engineer, you operate our high-tech tools to inspect pipelines, furnaces and storage tanks for customers all over the world, both onshore and offshore. The data you collect is essential for protecting the integrity of these assets.

As a trainee, you'll work on international projects from day one, guided by an experienced engineer. Alongside on-the-job training, we offer an extensive in-house program to help you become a fully certified inspection engineer, with clear opportunities for career progression. With time, you can advance from Junior Inspection Engineer to roles such as Project Manager or Inspection Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and customize the inspection equipment
  • Travel to customer sites worldwide, both onshore and sometimes offshore, and perform on-site inspections
  • Liaise with the customer team on-site, ensuring all customer compliance requirements are met
  • Evaluate inspection quality and summarize the results in a field report
  • Transfer inspection data to our Data Analysis team for further insights

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent qualification (e.g., MBO-4) with relevant work experience (recent graduates are welcome)
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in high-tech equipment and robotics
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel and work both onshore and offshore
  • Adventurous mindset with a Hands-on mentality, eager to learn and work with high-tech equipment
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments and under time pressure
  • Safety-conscious, with a focus on adhering to industry safety standards
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain offshore certifications if required
  • EU work permit and valid passport for travel
