Gas Detection Operator

Intero - The Sniffers, headquartered in Balen, Belgium, is a leading company in the industry, specializing in emission management, pipeline integrity services, and energy management. We have been a trusted partner for industrial companies for many years. We identify current and future leaks in pipelines and industrial oil and gas installations. We provide advice on reducing emissions, minimizing and avoiding unnecessary energy losses, and maintaining pipeline integrity.

Our organization is currently experiencing very strong growth. The number of projects and customers is increasing monthly. To continue our growth journey, we are looking for a Gas Detection Operator to strengthen our team based in Ploiesti, Romania.

Your role

• You are active on site every day: you carry out control tasks in Romania in a structured manner. Sometimes, you are expected at our local office in Ploiesti, Romania.
• You work on location; this is usually in a built-up environment or in an urban area. There you check pipelines and distribution networks. You look for losses and leaks, you carry out measurements, you locate and inventorize your findings.
• You check the pipelines and distribution networks on foot with the necessary equipment and, where possible, with a specially equipped vehicle.
• You report your inspections and measurements every day via a tablet with specialized software.
• You attend customer start-up meetings where you receive specific guidelines and can coordinate the approach.
• You will be trained in the basic principles of electricity and gases. You learn to use our equipment, you care for and maintain the materials and measuring equipment you use.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a technical interest. If you have experience in a technical environment, then this is a plus!
• You know how to work with MS Office (Excel) and you are not afraid to learn new systems and methods
• You are physically in good condition and working outside does not deter you.
• You have good orientation skills
• You are practical and you have a good dose of common sense
• You can work independently and you work well with colleagues in your team
• You have a driving license B
• You are fluent in English
• You are disciplined when it comes to safety, the environment, and quality
