Toronto - MFL Robotics, Service Line Manager
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Service Line Manager for our Ontario based MFL Robotics Services business unit.
Being a key leader with strong strategic industrial, technical, and commercial awareness, this position is vital for enabling the execution of Intero’s long-term growth plans. This position will research and understand market dynamics, New Product Introduction (NPI) development requirements, provide competitive insights, and lead the multi-year strategy development and sustainability processes our MFL Robotics Service Line.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external customers & stakeholders, including engineering, sales, project management, operations, and data analysis to assess the market needs and develop multi-year NPI development plans.
- Own competitive intelligence and understand product line positioning.
- Leverage data and insights to develop forward looking views on competitive landscape.
- Lead the multi-year strategic development and execution process.
- Develop and own the product sustainability strategy, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operating rhythm in conjunction with multi-year development roadmap.
- Lead and mentor the Center of Excellence (COE) in continuous improvement activities and operationalizing standard activities.
- Define, own, and direct annual and multi-year budgets delivering on service line commitments.
- Drive product standardization and simplification to support cross-business initiatives.
- Understand current and future market needs.
- Propose service improvements (cost, performance, operations, maintenance, quality, reliability, accuracy) to increase value proposition.
- Develop and own business cases to support investments.
- Drive service commercialization, deployment, training, launch, and promotion in liaison with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales resources.
- Collaborate with Sales Manager to draft and present technical papers for conferences and industry events.
- Participate in relevant industry associations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university in engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with demonstrated leadership in an energy service business.
- Significant experience in product/service management, engineering, commercial sales, and/or project management in the pipeline, energy, or other industrial industry.
- Demonstrated ability to gain consensus in complex problem-solving environments, both internally and externally.
- Experience with business development and customer focus.
- Strong oral and written communication, including executive level presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and execution experience with international cross functional teams.
- Able to interface and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Outstanding leadership and analytical skills.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Deep understanding of pipeline inspection industry.
- Experience in infrastructure sectors, energy, industrial services, or robotic inspections.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt or process improvement certification.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) at an accredited university.
Work Environment & Travel
- This role is based in the Intero Integrity Services office in Ontario, Canada
- Travel is required throughout the region and occasionally outside the region.
