MFL Robotics, Sales Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada or Texas, USA

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Manager for our Ontario based MFL Robotics Service Line.

The Sales Manager will lead the MFL robotics sales team, developing relationships with pipeline operating company customers, connecting with key business leaders, and securing orders to achieve our growth targets. This key leadership position will enable the delivery of Intero’s short-term and long-term growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales team to achieve orders and revenue goals through establishing and building strong business relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Define annual budget, orders, and revenue projections, as well as salesperson specific annual target/key performance indicator (KPI) assignments to ensure delivery of financial commitments.
  • Develop and implement strategic market and account plans.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact within the global business for all commercial matters specific to MFL robotics services from initial inquiry to order delivery.
  • Ensure efficient and thorough preparation to gain internal approvals for proposals in response to all global customer requests.
  • Manage accurate customer relationship management (CRM) system data to maintain commercial governance and drive performance culture.
  • Liaise between the customer and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according customer needs.
  • Map and further support growth in existing and new accounts to establish additional relationships with stakeholders, including key decision makers and influencers.
  • Ensure repeatable, scalable and consistent process to ensure timely completion of all commercial documents to enable smooth hand over to Project Management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction data captured to understand customer experience, and ensure positive experience through customer journey.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales resources.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Manager to draft and present technical papers for conferences and industry events.
  • Participate in relevant industry associations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with business development and strong customer focused mindset.
  • Experience leading a sales team in energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, or similar service business.
  • Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills experience with international cross functional teams, able to interface and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to effectively develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Outstanding leadership & analytical skills.
  • Ethical sales approach dedicated to integrity in all areas of work and the ability to lead a sales team to do the same.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and systems.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Deep understanding of the pipeline inspection industry and track record of direct sales to natural gas customers including utilities and/or interstate transmission.
  • Experience with robotic inspections.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt or process improvement certification.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) from accredited university.

Work Environment & Travel

  • This role is based in the Intero Integrity Services office in Ontario, Canada or Texas, USA.
  • Regular travel required across the region (and occasionally globally) for customer and business development.
